WHAT’S EXPECTED OF YOU

You’re finally finished with school just to go on to training school! It may feel endless, but here at blache medical, we make it our goal to make learning fun. We want you to enjoy coming in the morning, learning and growing, and coming again the next day. Of course, we don’t expect you to know everything at once. We take care to patiently walk with you through your learning experience over the next three years. We are with you every step of the way and will provide all that you need to know to be successful in our company and even enjoy your work as a technical product designer.

Primarily, you will design technical drawings and models for medical instruments that we develop and manufacture for our customers. You will also need to show technical calculations and simulations that prove our products function appropriately and are durable. Your detailed work is very important in our production process…every step of the process counts and adds to the quality of the product. You have the CAD software “SolidWorks”, at your disposal for your drawings and specifications. You have the exciting opportunity to work closely with engineers and other experts on innovative ideas for medical technology. As a team focused company, communication and coordination with customers and suppliers is equally important to everyone. Without this dynamic, it’s impossible to understand and fulfill the requirements of the necessary products.

As a part of your training, you will learn to turn ideas and concepts into precise technical documents and use them to create 3D models and prototypes. This allows you to test the performance of the given product. In the end, we base our production on what you design, making you a key player in what we add to our constantly growing portfolio.

You need to have successfully completed secondary school or have an equivalent qualification on hand. A good understanding of mathematics and physics, an interest in technical and mechanical processes, and spatial awareness are essential prerequisites for this varied profession. As a team player, you need to enjoy working with other people, but you also need to be able to work independently. We expect you to work precisely and accurately when creating technical specifications. After all, our products are used on people.

WHAT’S EXPECTED OF YOU

As a trainee in our company, you are welcomed as a member of our team right from the start. Of course, we don’t expect you to be able to do everything right away – that’s exactly why we’ll walk beside you for three and a half years. You’ll be proud of how much you can learn and grow step by step into the tasks of a surgical mechanic.

This includes first and foremost the manufacture of precise, individual surgical instruments for all kinds of procedures. We develop these specifically on behalf of customers and then manufacture them in our own production department. We use modern machines for this, but much of our work is also done by hand. At the end of your training, you will have mastered both perfectly.

During your apprenticeship, you will be able to hone your skills in producing the necessary surgical instruments based on a drawing. You will know the advantages or special features of the material to be processed and the tools required for precise manufacturing. Finishing the products by grinding or polishing is then the last step before delivery to the customer.

Part of your training is the vocational school – which is located on your doorstep, so to speak: The vocational school for all surgical mechanics in Germany is in Tuttlingen, a region known for innovation in surgical instrument technology. You will be able to combine practical training in our company with theory, for example materials science, technical drawing, or technology lessons.

Practical semester at blache medical

As a trainee, you can complete a practical semester with us at any time. Here you will get to know the facets of medical technology firsthand. Our experts will accompany you during your internship and answer your questions. We also welcome young engineers who would like to move into a career.
